Hood Dog - Another Desert Dog ~ Sheldon

Another rescued dog from the wonderful not-for-profit organisation Desert Dogs. Sheldon's owner wasn't sure what breed he is, but he is a beautiful, friendly, healthy, happy and smiling dog. Lucky, too! and with a really long tongue.

Meanwhile in Poland: a hood hog.

Pig_0001

My brother snapped this guy munching on some potatoes.

He wasn't even in the woods, this was taken from his car driving through suburbia.

That will do pig.

Hood Dogs - Two Grand Dames ~ Sasha and Shona

Sasha is a beautiful 18 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback cross. I think she might be crossed with a Labrador. She has the most beautiful smile. Her hind legs don't work as well as they used to (and when she lays down she is flat out), so her owner drives her and Shona to the park, where they walk from the car to their spot under a tree for a bit of a nap. In order to get Sasha back into the car, her owner has to pick her hind up, and she walks stiffly in a bit of a circle. Sasha and Shona's owner thinks Sasha in a bit senile and Shona is a bit deaf. He has known Sasha since she was three months old, but adopted her when she was 2 years old.

Shona is a wonderfully friendly Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and she is 15 years old. Her owner adopted her from the pound when she was three months old. She loves to dig a hole in the dirt and lay in it - probably to keep cool. She ends up with dirt in her mouth and on her eyeball! She will lay on you, lean into you, and give you plenty of kisses if you ever get the chance to meet her.

These dogs must be two of the most well-loved dogs I have ever met to make it to their ages and still look gorgeous :) I hope I get to meet them again. And their owner is wonderful, too.

Double Bay Ponies

When I'm not at work, I'm sleeping, and when I'm not sleeping I am chasing after Roy cleaning up his vomit (he eats his dinner way too quickly and pukes, or he eats his dinner, runs and jumps up onto the window sill and pukes). So it has unfortunately been too long between posts.

I discovered ponies in Double Bay, not too far away from the rabbit I discovered. The ponies go to the Double Bay markets on Thursdays. One wasn't too happy with me and the others ignored me. Excellent.
